The contemporary restyling of a villa in Umbria by the Atelier Contract division
For this recently built villa, the Palazzo Morelli Atelier Contract division has revisited the traditional concepts of Umbria cottages from a modern perspective, choosing the language of contemporary Liberty style.
On top of a hill, surrounded by the lush countryside of Umbria, this villa has been designed as a spacious home for family and friends. The thread running across the project is in the communication between indoor and outdoor environments through the large windows and glazed surfaces which flood the house with natural light. The idea here is to combine the volumes of the traditional Umbria cottage with a contemporary Liberty style intended to welcome, surprise and fit in with the unmistakable countryside of the Umbria region.
The interior design is characterised by a stylish study of colour scales, with white, black and green featuring prominently, lightened up by valuable gold and silver details.
The choice of furnishing and pieces of furniture is driven by the search for a balance between aesthetic and functional elements, through the design of objects expressly made to measure, the selection of items representing the best design made in Italy and the search for discreet vintage items with a timeless elegance.
